The challenge
DB Kommunikationstechnik GmbH is Deutsche Bahn’s internal media and communication service provider and creates design and marketing solutions for all communication channels. The team takes on a variety of tasks in the planning. The team manages, produces and provides print jobs for sales, marketing and service communication, including regulations and standards. They are also service providers for office printing for the entire DB Group in Germany and Europe. For the wide range of production tasks, a previously purely manual control and coordination system had reached its limits.
The solution
MPP.360 has been introduced and rolled out step by step since 2023 as a new self-service platform for various application areas, departments and subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn AG. With MPP.360, DB Kommunikationstechnik GmbH is providing a very flexible solution for ordering, producing and providing various materials from sales, marketing, service or product communication in a controlled and easy-to-use self-service process. MPP.360 uses creative master templates in accordance with Deutsche Bahn’s corporate design specifications as the basis for creating and adapting the respective materials. The spectrum ranges from out-of-home posters and flyers to business cards – automatically created and provided as printable or digital PDFs. MPP.360 standardizes and automates order processes with a direct connection to external print service providers, including calculation of ordered print quantities, delivery address management and automatic checking of compliance with all DB brand specifications.

ECE Group
Automation of marketing productions with shopping centers
read more…
ECE develops and operates shopping centers and realizes large-scale properties such as corporate headquarters, office buildings, industrial buildings, logistics centers, hotels and city districts. With around 200 shopping centers under management and activities in twelve countries, ECE is a leader in the shopping center sector in Europe.
The challenge
ECE Marketplaces is the leading service provider in Europe for the management of shopping centers and offers comprehensive expertise and more than 55 years of experience in the professional operation and marketing of shopping centers and their continuous development into lively marketplaces and attractive urban districts. ECE’s central marketing department supports local center managers and is continuously expanding the marketing channels and measures used, for example with new e-mail newsletters, a loyalty app and the introduction of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud for managing digital 360° campaigns. This also increases the need for individual, local and personalized content. Central marketing is therefore faced with the challenge of having to manually manage many small-scale content production processes.
The solution
To collect the large amount of local content, forward it to several agencies and then distribute content to various marketing systems, ECE uses MPP.360 to control its marketing productions. With MPP.360, it is now possible to launch campaigns from the ECE headquarters, in which the content is automatically collected from the marketing managers of the participating shopping centers. There is also the option for center managers to launch campaigns independently via self-service. Employees at ECE headquarters as well as individual center managers can initiate various orders and productions via an order catalog. MPP.360 uses simple interfaces to guide you through each order and automatically forwards it to agencies, the head office and delivery systems. Whether e-newsletter, print order or omnichannel: MPP.360 orchestrates the production processes of ECE and its shopping centers throughout Germany.

OTTO.de
Automated production of digital advertising material
read more…
The challenge
The Otto Group is one of the world’s largest online retailers and otto.de is one of the leading German e-commerce providers. More than 11 million active customers can find a range of over 17 million products from more than 6,000 retailers and partners. A few years ago, otto.de’s marketing and creation team faced the challenge of having to produce and provide a large number of digital advertising materials. The numerous, continuous measures required to create and maintain product and promotional offers on otto.de as well as the production of digital advertising material for communication with customers and for digital lead generation were becoming increasingly complex. This could no longer be managed with the available personnel capacities and sometimes time-consuming, manual production and coordination processes.
The solution
MPP.360 was introduced as a central platform for the control and production of digital advertising material such as online teasers, e-mail newsletter content or individual content and text elements. Since then, MPP.360 has mapped the entire production chain for digital advertising media at otto.de, from order placement to transfer to the e-commerce system. A uniform order catalog has standardized briefings and automated previously purely manual production processes. An automatic check of digital advertising material for compliance with OTTO brand guidelines and technical specifications from integrated MarTech systems complements the control and production processes. MPP.360 enables otto.de to increase the output and output quality of digital advertising material production while maintaining the same level of personnel resources.

R+V Allgemeine Versicherung
Central marketing production platform for sales materials
read more…
The challenge
R+V Versicherung has a wide range of different insurance products and services and sells them online and via more than 300 sales offices (general agencies). R+V’s marketing department provides individual sales materials centrally for all products, which are constantly available as printed sales documents as well as on several digital touchpoints. As one of the leading German insurance companies with a banking license, R+V is subject to strict legal requirements regarding the accuracy and timeliness of such publicly available customer information. The previously purely manual control, coordination, production and provision of new sales documents or the updating of existing materials quickly reached its limits. R+V therefore decided to work with a software-based marketing production platform in future.
The solution
MPP360 was introduced by R+V Versicherung as a central control and automation platform for sales documents. MPP.360 works closely and technically fully integrated with R+V Versicherung’s digital asset management (DAM) system censhare – the central repository for all required assets, texts and numerous meta-information. The previous manually controlled, time-consuming and complex processes for internal commissioning, coordination with all stakeholders with a guided handover to different playout systems or their responsible persons are now fully orchestrated via MPP.360. The creative design – embedded in standardized workflows – is realized by agency partners with the professional print production functions of censhare. Completed or updated sales documents are automatically distributed internally as digital PDFs via the MPP.360 marketing production platform and published on all touchpoints. The production and provision of printed documents is also completely controlled via MPP.360 and the cooperative online store GenoBuy.

Telekom AG
Onboarding of partners and products in e-commerce
read more…
The challenge
In 2020, Deutsche Telekom launched the new INITIATE e-commerce platform as a pilot project to offer start-ups and manufacturers of innovative consumer electronics products from all over the world a new marketing and sales platform. The complex onboarding processes required for INITIATE partners and their products were to be implemented as quickly and standardized as possible. A high degree of automation and guided self-service processes should enable even inexperienced partners to onboard quickly and comprehensibly. In addition, all information for a legal and technical assessment should be available for Deutsche Telekom. The article and supplier data needed to be suitably structured for automatic further processing in store and CRM systems. As only a small, internal project team was available for management and coordination, the use of a high-performance marketing production solution was necessary.
The solution
MPP360 was successfully used by Deutsche Telekom as a central control solution for its new e-commerce platform in order to almost completely automate the complex background processes involved in onboarding and controlling partners and product articles as well as in marketing production. MPP.360 orchestrated the processes for creating products in accordance with Group guidelines. Partners were also able to create new online campaigns with product details such as prices, images and description texts independently and with guided processes controlled by MPP.360 in order to make their products visible on INITIATE. This was secured by a multi-stage review and approval process in accordance with Deutsche Telekom’s requirements, right through to automated publication on the e-commerce platform.
